We look for hearing care providers who already live and practise in the communities we serve, rather than flying expertise in and out. Care that stays is care that lasts.
Between the people who need hearing care and the care itself, there is usually nothing but distance, cost, and the absence of anyone looking. Ears to Hear was founded to stand in that gap.
Ears to Hear was founded to help bridge the gap between individuals in need and the life-changing hearing care and supportive services they may otherwise be unable to access.
By providing financial support, building meaningful partnerships, and connecting resources with areas of great need, Ears to Hear seeks to serve underserved individuals and communities around the world.
But providing hearing aids and services is only part of our mission. Ears to Hear also works to raise awareness of the tremendous unmet need for hearing care and supportive services around the world — and to give others an opportunity to be part of meeting that need.
Hearing Hope · Compassionate Care
We want everyone to have Ears to Hear.
Matthew 11:15
Matthew 11:15 is the verse that gave this work its name and its direction.
It is an invitation and a responsibility at once. Hearing is how most of us receive love, warning, instruction, and belonging. When that door closes and no one comes to open it, a person loses far more than sound — they lose the classroom, the conversation, the job, the congregation, the table.
Our conviction is simple: the ability to hear should not depend on where you were born or what you can afford. Everyone should have ears to hear.
We look for hearing care providers who already live and practise in the communities we serve, rather than flying expertise in and out. Care that stays is care that lasts.
Ministries, aid organisations, and churches already serving a community know it better than we ever will. We come alongside the people who are already there.
A device is a beginning, not an outcome. Fitting, follow-up, and the supportive services around a person are what turn a hearing aid into hearing.
We serve because we have been served. Care is offered as an expression of God’s love, and it is offered to anyone in need of it.
Supporters deserve to know where a gift went. We intend to keep our reporting clear enough that a first-time giver can follow it without help.
Underserved communities are not only overseas. We go where the need is significant and where a trustworthy partnership makes real care possible.
Prayer, financial support, partnership, service — every one of them moves care closer to someone waiting for it.
